Role Title Customer Service Cashier Manager Customer Service Manager Job Summary The Customer Service Cashier will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik's culture by consistently providing "best in class" service to our guests. The main responsibility as a Cashier will be to build rapport with customers, while efficiently and accurately checking out their grocery order. In addition, the Cashier will assist with gathering carts and baskets, as well as maintaining a neat and organized space. Work Experience Duties/ResponsibilitiesServe customers while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their businessEngaging with customers in order to create a warm and welcoming environmentProvide consistent, timely and friendly customer service when answering questions and making suggestionsEncourage customers to participate in our monthly charity partnerships and Red Bag Rewards programAccurately and efficiently checking-out customer orders; including accurate cash-handlingAbility to achieve and maintain a product scanning speed of 22 items per minuteAssist with bagging groceries as neededAssist customers with carry-out and car-side deliveries as neededAssist with gathering carts and baskets as neededAssist with the training and mentoring of new associates in Customer ServiceMaintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and proceduresAssist with all other Customer Service duties as needed QualificationsEagerness to interact with customersStrong sense of team - ability to anticipate the needs of the teamAbility to work at a fast paced and efficient mannerAbility to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervisionExcellent time management, prioritization and organization skillsAbility to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 pounds
