Lead Manager, EHS Services - Services Programs

Job Description:Provide critical field support at customer locations during turbine and generator major/minor outagesFocus areas include deployment of GEV Life Saving Rules, Risk Reduction, and control of hazardsSupport planning and execution of outage EHS Safety Plans, Job Safety Analyses, Task Risk Assessments, Work Authorizations and permits, Life Saving Rules implementation, and contractor safety managementConduct observations, inspections, hazard huts, site inspections, and auditsAssist site leadership with coordination of emergency drills and rescue plansBuild and maintain effective relationships and collaboration with field supervisors, maintenance crews, Generator specialists, and customer personnelProvide Regional EHS Manager with timely analysis of metrics and recommended ways to improve safety policies and programsEnsure quality information is uploaded into the enterprise Gensuite systemManage OSHA/OHS incident and injury reporting within specified guidelinesConduct timely and accurate follow up investigationsAnalyze root causes to determine and implement safety measuresProvide in-field training and follow-up support and coaching for new and ongoing EHS programs and proceduresUse analytical tools and AI, along with deep technical experience and solid judgement, to interpret field data, and guide future effort and focusParticipation with EHS team across Steam Power Services, providing input and feedback on EHS program changes and improvementsRequirements:Certificate or degree from a recognized university or college curriculum related to EHS/Safety discipline AND 5+ years in an EHS related position in industrial settings or power generation OR High School Diploma/ GED AND 7+ years in an EHS related position in industrial settings or power generation5+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge supporting field operations at major industrial facilitiesStrong oral, written, communication, and collaboration skills across organizational levelsAbility to manage time, schedule and prioritiesAbility to execute according to established policies, standards, and strategic prioritiesDemonstrated ability to apply EHS process and tools to analyze and solve EHS problemsPhysical ability, experience and familiarity of being safe and on-site at large industrial facilities such as refineries, paper mills, and power plants.Comfortable using variety IT tools, willingness to learn new platforms, including AI toolsRequires current driver's license in good standing with safe driving record- fleet vehicle depending on locationEnglish proficiency requiredBenefits:medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverageaccess to Health Coach from GE Vernova, a 24/7 nurse-based resourceaccess to the Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral servicesGE Vernova Retirement Savings Plan, a tax-advantaged 401(k) savings opportunity with company matching contributions and company retirement contributionsaccess to Fidelity resources and financial planning consultantstuition assistanceadoption assistancepaid parental leavedisability benefitslife insurance12 paid holidayspermissive time off
