Quality Cultivation Technician

Job SummaryA Quality Cultivation Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of cannabis grown, harvested and cured by conducting various process related assessments and verifying good compliance to product specifications. This position involves working in a cultivation facility to perform quality assurance assessments, monitor conformance to SOP's, and document results. The Quality Cultivation Technician reports to the Site Quality Manager and works closely with other members of the site Cultivation and Post Harvest teams to maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards. Must have extensive Cultivation experience.Key Responsibilities:Monitor cannabis process controls for growth, harvesting and initial processing of raw biomass per established standard operating procedures and product specifications.Assess a range of process activities to determine the quality, potency, and safety of cannabis products. Common assessments against process related SOP's and specifications include:Monitoring of process controls for cultivation and post-harvest,cGMP compliance and facility auditsEnvironmental, chemical, pest, and sanitation monitoringComplaint trending and root cause analysisOperate and maintain a variety of monitoring equipment and instruments used in testing, such as ATP, PAR, CO2 meters and other analytical tools.Accurately record and document monitoring results, including data analysis and interpretation.Ensure that all data is maintained in compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.Perform routine equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate and reliable results as needed.Assist in maintaining the quality control program and quality related tasks, which may include developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), participating in method validation, and monitoring process conditions, including packaging, facility, and environmental assessments.Keep track of testing supplies and reagents, order necessary consumables, and maintain an organized inventory system.Adhere to strict safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines to protect against potential hazards.QualificationsMust be 21 years of ageKnowledge of cannabis cultivation techniques and best practices.Familiarity with cultivation equipment and technologies.Attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.Understanding of regulatory requirements for cannabis cultivation.Physical stamina for tasks such as lifting and handling plants.Communication skills for teamwork and reporting.Problem-solving skills in addressing cultivation challenges.COMPANY OVERVIEWAscend Wellness Holdings (AWH) is a vertically integrated cannabis cultivator, processor and provisioning center operator with assets in Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
