Summer School 2026 - Anticipated: Two (2) Summer School Special Education Teachers, 8:1+1 (Grades 1-5)

8:1:1 Summer ProgramFor students who have completed grades K-4.Ratio is 8:1+1Teachers will be utilizing district identified intervention resources and progress monitoring tools.Training will be provided.Dates: July 9 through August 19, 2026 (Monday-Friday)Teachers: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday)Students: 8:30 am - 11:30 am (Monday - Friday)Teachers are expected to work the entire duration of the program.July 8th is a paid planning day: 8:30 am-11:30 pm.Location: JAProgram DescriptionA six week special education program addressing students with global developmental delaysand/or autism spectrum disorders. The focus of the program is on the maintenance of academic andsocial behavioral skills and the prevention of regression. The student to teacher ratio is 8:1+1.Teachers are expected to work the entire duration of the program.Teachers will report to the Summer School Principal and Special Education Coordinator and receive walk through feedback.RequirementsNYS Special Education Certification.Strong preference for candidates with experience working with students who have significant global developmental delays.Knowledge of social skill development and training.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with support staff to ensure active student participation and engagement in the program.Salary: $30/hour
