Position Overview
As a Paper-Based LSAT Test Proctor, you will oversee the end-to-end administration of LSAT exams, ensuring all test materials are handled securely and that testing procedures are followed exactly. You will manage timing, monitor compliance, and maintain a distraction-free environment while serving as the primary point of contact for assigned test takers.
This role is ideal for individuals who are highly organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable enforcing structured processes.
Key Responsibilities
Check in with test staff at the start of the day and confirm assigned test taker accommodations
Receive, inventory, organize, and secure all testing materials (rosters, envelopes, instructions, and test booklets)
Ensure each test taker’s materials remain separated at all times
Review the roster with each test taker, confirming identity, number of sections, approved breaks, and timing
Communicate testing rules prior to entry (no phones or electronics, shoes remain on, quiet environment, etc.)
Open section envelopes in front of test takers and ensure all required documentation is completed before testing begins
Confirm the LawHub timer is visible and running on the screen prior to each section
Independently track all testing and break times (standard: 53-minute sections, 10-minute breaks unless accommodations apply)
Ensure all test takers start and stop exactly on time
Actively monitor breaks to prevent phone use, communication, or rule violations
Maintain a quiet, controlled environment and promptly report any irregularities or incidents
Qualifications
18+ years old
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proven ability to follow strict procedures without deviation
Comfortable managing independent, time-sensitive responsibilities
Professional, calm, and dependable demeanor
Confident communicating instructions clearly and respectfully
No prior proctoring or test administration experience required (full training is provided)
Additional Requirements
Ability to remain on-site for the full testing window (typically 7am-5pm)
Willingness to consistently and professionally enforce all testing rules
Comfortable working in a highly structured, compliance-driven environment
