Business Development Manager – IndustrialLocation: Jones Creek, TX (Hybrid)Job SummaryWe are seeking an Business Development Manager to own and grow key customer relationships within an industrial, project-based environment. This role combines relationship management with proactive business development, focusing on expanding existing accounts while ensuring successful project execution.You will serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, working closely with estimating, production, and operations to deliver projects while identifying opportunities for additional work.This is a “hunter + gatherer” role—ideal for someone who can build trust with customers while actively driving account growth in an operational, service-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Ownership & Relationship ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and key customersBuild and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with operations-level and decision-making stakeholdersDevelop a deep understanding of customer operations, priorities, and long-term needsConduct regular check-ins, site visits, and strategic conversations to strengthen partnershipsAccount Growth & Business DevelopmentIdentify and drive revenue growth within existing accounts through proactive engagementRecognize opportunities for repeat work, expanded scope, and new servicesSupport contract discussions, pricing conversations, and scope expansion where applicableMaintain awareness of customer pipelines, upcoming projects, and future opportunitiesNew Business Development & SalesProactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and through personal networks, referrals, and industry engagementDevelop and maintain an active sales pipeline, managing opportunities from initial outreach through closeConduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations to position services and expand business relationshipsPartner with internal teams to develop proposals, pricing strategies, and scopes of work for new and expanded opportunitiesNegotiate and close new business while ensuring alignment with operational capabilitiesConsistently meet or exceed revenue growth targets across assigned accounts and new opportunitiesOperational Coordination & ExecutionAct as the bridge between customers and internal teams including Estimating, Production, Procurement, and OperationsEnsure alignment on project scope, timelines, and delivery expectationsProactively manage schedule changes, scope adjustments, and customer expectationsIdentify risks early and drive resolution to maintain customer trustCustomer Experience & RetentionEnsure a consistent, high-quality experience across all customer interactionsAddress customer concerns with urgency while maintaining long-term relationship healthAnticipate customer needs and communicate proactively to avoid escalationsMaintain strong account health and long-term retentionMarket Awareness & Industry EngagementStay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and customer needs within industrial sectorsIdentify new opportunities within existing networks and customer relationshipsParticipate in networking events, trade shows, and industry associations to strengthen market presenceDocumentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and account activityProvide regular updates on account growth, revenue forecasts, and pipeline visibilityEnsure CRM data is current and reflects all active opportunities and customer insightsCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on project execution and delivery commitmentsCommunicate customer priorities, risks, and opportunities clearly across departmentsSupport internal teams during project kickoff, scope changes, and contract discussionsQualifications and RequirementsRequired:5+ years of experience in account management, business development, or customer-facing rolesExperience in industrial, energy, construction, fabrication, or field-service environmentsProven ability to grow accounts and identify revenue opportunities within existing customersStrong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across operations and leadership teamsExperience working cross-functionally with operations, production, or project-based teamsAbility to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced, operational environmentPreferred:Background in oil & gas (midstream/downstream), fabrication, coating, or industrial servicesExperience with project-based or recurring service workFamiliarity with contract negotiation, pricing, and scope managementExperience using CRM systems and managing account pipelinesKey Traits for SuccessRelationship-driven with a growth mindsetComfortable operating in fast-moving, operational environmentsProactive, solutions-oriented, and accountableAble to balance customer needs with internal capabilitiesStrong sense of ownership over both customer relationships and revenue growth
