Senior/Lead DevOps EngineerLocation: RemoteContract: B2B/freelanceDuration: 6 months initial contractWe're looking for a DevOps Engineer to help maintain and evolve a large-scale internal platform while contributing to the build of a next-generation platform incorporating AI-driven operations.This role sits at the intersection of traditional DevOps practice and applied AI, you'll work on real infrastructure while helping build and integrate AI tooling (including retrieval-augmented generation and agentic workflows) to move the team beyond manual, traditional debugging approaches.What you'll be doingMaintaining and supporting a multi-subsystem platform across a range of CI/CD pipelinesContributing to the design and build of a new platform, with AI capabilities built in from the ground upWorking with vector databases and RAG-based approaches to support intelligent troubleshooting and triageHelping build agentic workflows for automated incident triage, from the ground upManaging infrastructure as code and deployment pipelines across GitLab/GitHub, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and ArgoCDCollaborating closely with engineering teams to identify where AI tooling can replace manual, repetitive operational workWhat you'll bringSolid hands-on experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift in production environmentsExperience with GitLab and/or GitHub, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD)Working knowledge of Terraform and/or PulumiScripting ability and a working understanding of PythonFamiliarity with SonarQube or similar code quality/static analysis toolingExposure to ITSM tooling and processesSome exposure to RAG and agentic AI systems — hands-on experience building these is a significant plusA collaborative approach and comfort working across teams with varying levels of technical depthNice to haveGoExperience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or similar)
