Ortho Liaison

DescriptionSUMMARY:The Ortho Liaison monitors and re-stocks supplies in physician offices, ortho offices andhospitals.Essential FunctionsManages consignment accounts, including inventory, paperwork, and the consignment process, with efficiency and cost reduction in mind.Maintains working knowledge of home medical equipment and DASCO products and services.Supports a variety of branch operation functions as needed, which may include inventory, records-keeping, working reports, cross training in the branch and order-entry, while also maintaining policy and procedural compliance with HIPAA, TheJoint Commission, State Respiratory Care Board, State Board of Pharmacy, and allother applicable rules and regulations.Encourages and grows relationship with physician offices, ortho offices and hospital team members.Other duties as assigned by the branch office manager.If the associate has the appropriate clinical licensure (LPN, RN, or RT), occasionallyperforming delivery and/or providing instruction/troubleshooting for respiratoryequipment, such as non-invasive ventilation, may be required during the normal courseof business, as coverage for other DASCO clinicians, and/or coverage after-hours. At90-days and during the Annual Review, a clinical competency will be completed by amember of the Clinical Management team.RequirementsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED equivalent.Preferred Education And/Or ExperienceAssociate’s degree in related field.Six months’ experience in healthcare/medical/insurance/DME customer service roleAdditional QualificationsNone.CompetenciesCommunication ProficiencyComplianceEmpathyStress ManagementOrganizationDetail-orientedPosition Type/Expected Hours Of WorkThis is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday throughFriday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but are subject to change based on branch needs.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory role.Work EnvironmentThis job operates primarily in a hospital setting, and also spends some time in aprofessional office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such ascomputers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met byan employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee is typically required to sit; walk; frequently stands, occasionally requiredto climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
