The Web Developer will design, build, and maintain web experiences that support merchandising initiatives, including product pages, landing pages, and interactive features. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing responsive front-end interfaces, developing robust back-end functionality, integrating APIs, and optimizing site performance and accessibility. The role also involves collaborating with designers and stakeholders, troubleshooting technical issues, documenting code, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The developer will participate in regular remote meetings, follow version control best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of the web development workflow.Qualifications Strong Web Development and Programming skills, with experience building and maintaining production-ready websites or web applications.Proficiency in Front-End Development, including modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks or libraries.Experience in Back-End Web Development, such as working with server-side languages, frameworks, databases, and APIs.Web Design capabilities to translate requirements and mockups into user-friendly, accessible, and visually consistent interfaces.Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), debugging tools, and web performance optimization techniques.Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and meet deadlines on contract-based projects.Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional, distributed teams.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with e-commerce platforms, content management systems, or merchandising-focused sites is a plus.
