Job DescriptionIf you are interested in applying for this job, please make sure you meet the following requirements as listed below.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated Construction Project Engineer who wants to grow their career in commercial construction while gaining hands-on experience working closely with Project Managers and field teams.Position OverviewThe Project Engineer supports the Project Manager in coordinating construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout. This role focuses on project documentation, submittals, RFIs, scheduling support, and coordination with project stakeholders.This position is primarily office-based (approximately 80%), with periodic job site visits (20%) to support project coordination and quality assurance.This role offers strong growth potential for someone interested in developing into a Project Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesProject CoordinationSupport Project Managers in coordinating multiple construction projectsTrack project schedules and assist with maintaining project timelinesMaintain organized project documentationSubmittals & RFIsPrepare and manage submittals and RFIsTrack approvals and responses from architects and general contractorsMaintain documentation in ProcoreDrawings & SpecificationsReview and interpret construction drawings and specificationsIdentify potential conflicts or missing informationEstimating SupportAssist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimatesSupport cost tracking and budget monitoringField CoordinationVisit project sites as needed to coordinate with field crewsMonitor work progress and quality standardsCommunicationCoordinate with Project Managers, field staff, architects, and general contractorsProvide updates on project progress and project challengesQualificationsPreferred candidates will have:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)0-3 years of construction industry experienceAbility to read construction drawings and specificationsStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detailPreferred Software ExperienceExperience with the following software is helpful but not required:ProcoreBluebeamOn-Screen Takeoff (OST)Quick BidMicrosoft OfficeWork LocationSalem, OR 97301In-person position Company DescriptionSkyline Construction Services is a commercial construction subcontractor specializing in interior finishes and architectural specialties.
