We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team.Job Title: Agile1 IT- Business Analyst - SeniorJob Location: Oakland, CATOP THINGS:Asset Work Management, Electric Generation Interconnection (EGI)utilities similar to PG&ESAP Work and Asset Management focusing on Electric Distribution, Transmission, SubstationGood to have: Joint Pole experience; portal displaying assets for utilities (JUMP)5 to 10 years of BA experience with gathering requirements, previous utility experience and project implementationResponsibilities: The Senior Business Analyst acts as the business expert filling a liaison role between the IT development group and business units for development, enhancement, and implementation of new and/or existing systems. Additionally, this position provides data and reporting solutions to satisfy informational and performance metrics needs for one or more business functions. Responsible for the concurrent management of one or more medium to large complex IT Business Technology projects. These projects are one-time, multitask jobs that have clearly defined start and end dates, a specific scope of work, a budget, required resources, and a specified performance objective to be achieved. Specific responsibilities include:Works with stakeholders and project team to elicit, analyze, validate and prioritize the business needs/requirementsConducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methodsIdentifies and establishes scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metricsAnalyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standardsParticipates in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features/functions have been enabled and optimizedParticipates in the selection of any software solutions that the organization may opt to useDevelops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specificationsTranslates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project teamCreates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project teamDevelops and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpretedAssists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicating these back to the business stakeholdersManages, enforce and redefine (as necessary) the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycleCommunicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understoodParticipates in the testing effort throughout the project lifecycle, including test script creationMinimum Qualifications:BA/BS in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Business, Engineering, etc. or equivalent work experienceDemonstrated course work and/or training in programming languages used for PG&E applications and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 7 to 10 years of experience in similar or related job functions.
