Developer V - Quality Analyst

Location: Reston VA 20190IntroductionWe are seeking a skilled Quality Analyst to join our team for a 6-month contract with the possibility of an extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through rigorous testing and collaboration with our development and QA teams.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLCHands-on experience in writing test cases, test scenarios, and test plansFamiliarity with defect tracking tools such as JiraGood knowledge of functional and non-functional testingUnderstanding of API testing basics (Postman is a plus)Experience testing web and/or mobile applicationsAbility to analyze requirements and identify edge casesBasic knowledge of SQL for data validationPrior work experience at client or in Financial /Banking industry.Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Preferred Skills & QualificationsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsExposure to automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) is a plusFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines is a bonusISTQB certification (optional but preferred)Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute manual test cases based on functional requirements and user storiesPerform functional, regression, integration, and system testingIdentify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or BugzillaCollaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure quality deliverablesReview requirements and provide testability feedback early in the SDLCParticipate in test planning, test case reviews, and defect triage meetingsValidate fixes and perform re-testing and regression cyclesMaintain clear and organized test documentation and reportsCompany Benefits & CultureCompetitive salary and benefits packageSupportive and collaborative work environmentOpportunities for professional development and growthFor immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
