The Wash bay Tech receives daily leadership support from the Fleet Manager under the Director of Corporate Operations and is responsible for a variety of fleet management tasks. We place an emphasis on candidates with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Duties/Responsibilities: Good attitude that works in a team environment. Keeps shop and tools organized and clean on a daily basis. i.e. sweeping floors, clean up oil spills, empty trash, clean trash around yard, place tools and supplies in proper location. Move and organize down and ready line equipment. Put final touch and cleanliness inspection on all completed repairs and maintenance. Assists and participates in Preventive Maintenance and minor repair work on automobiles, heavy and light trucks, construction equipment and specialized fleet equipment. i.e. oil changes, inspections, brakes, tires, change out of wearable items, etc. Assists in conducting inspections to identify repair needs and the methods of taking corrective action. Clean exterior and interior of vehicles and equipment. This includes but not limited to pressure washing engine bays, undercarriage, washing exterior, wiping down interior and trash removal. Identifies needed parts and prepares part(s) request form and enters mechanic related information on work orders. Assists in minor fabrication tasks, using a variety of welding and cutting tools and equipment. Inputs accurate repair-related work-order data into the Fleet maintenance automated- management system. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Maintain ethical, professional, and courteous relations with all staff and customers Ability to build relationships and provide customer service Attention to detail and accuracy Written and verbal communication skills Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks Proficient with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters Prior training and/or maintenance experience Ability to travel across Charge service territories is required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED Background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or construction Physical requirements: Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more Bending, stooping, kneeling Ability to sit for extended periods of time Ability to obtain and maintain a current DOT Medical Card Ability to safely climb up and on trucks and loads Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment Ability to properly secure cargo using chains and load binding devices on equipment Compensation: $25.00 Compensation + bonus potential, + 100% paid full benefits for you and your family, generous paid time off, and an employer funded retirement plan.
