Job Title: Lead Software EngineerLocation-Type: Irving, TX- Hybrid 3 days onsiteStart Date Is: June 22Duration: 6 month contract to hireCompensation Range: $65-73/HR W2Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401KMust be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for sponsorship .Job Description:We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive development initiatives across a customer-facing financial wellness platform while serving as a hands-on technical leader across enterprise engineering initiatives.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Lead development initiatives across a customer-facing platformBuild and support scalable applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and AWSOwn technical delivery from requirements gathering through deployment and production supportServe as the technical lead across multiple engineering initiatives and stakeholdersCollaborate closely with Product, UX, Engineering Managers, and cross-functional teamsDrive architecture and design discussions involving APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven workflowsBreak down complex technical and delivery challenges into actionable solutionsMentor engineers and guide collaborative technical problem-solving effortsParticipate in code reviews, CI/CD improvements, and engineering best practices discussionsSupport production operations, observability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement effortsImprove engineering quality, delivery execution, and overall team effectivenessBalance approximately 80% hands-on engineering work with 20% leadership responsibilitiesMinimum Requirements:10+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong hands-on frontend engineering experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScriptStrong backend engineering experience with Node.jsExperience building APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures/CDC workflowsExperience working within AWS cloud environmentsExperience owning technical delivery from requirements through production supportStrong enterprise product engineering mindsetExperience collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders in enterprise environmentsProven technical leadership and problem-solving capabilitiesExperience mentoring engineers and driving scalable technical solutionsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience supporting production systems and operational best practicesBachelor's Degree requiredAbility to navigate ambiguity and lead delivery across cross-functional teamsPreferred Qualifications:Angular experienceRuby on Rails exposurePostgreSQL experienceDocker experienceCI/CD pipeline experience, preferably with CircleCIExperience with observability and monitoring tools such as DataDog and SentryFinancial services or fintech industry experienceExperience within enterprise SaaS or customer-facing product organizations
