Full health, dental, and vision coverage starting day oneRelocation assistance available for candidates willing to moveThe most valuable thing you can offer a student who reaches 99% of their target is to refuse to accept it as complete. If this standard feels uncomfortable, this position won't be the right fit. If it energizes you because you understand that maintaining high expectations is how you demonstrate belief in a student's ability to exceed them, continue reading.Alpha operates differently from conventional schools. Students complete a full day's worth of academics in roughly two hours using adaptive software. No traditional lectures. No textbooks. Your responsibility centers on what technology cannot replicate: guiding young people through essential life skills such as public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback exchange. You'll facilitate interactive workshops, inspire students to exceed their learning targets, and develop relationships that transform a reserved 4th grader into someone who presents with confidence before an audience of adults. This position grows over time. During your first year, you'll manage a small student cohort and become fluent in Alpha's methodology: life skill workshops, motivation coaching, and mastery-based evaluation. Once you demonstrate the ability to guide every student to 100% goal attainment while maintaining satisfaction scores above 90%, opportunities emerge to advance into a Lead Guide role, where you'll mentor a team while remaining engaged directly with students. The highest performers in this role don't simply transform individual trajectories; they influence how an entire campus functions.Traditional schools don't offer this opportunity. If you've been working in coaching, counseling, or youth mentorship and wish you could eliminate instructional teaching to focus on genuine development, this is your opportunity. What You Will Be DoingFacilitating one-hour life skill workshops for K-12 students covering subjects such as public speaking, focus, time management, and constructive feedback (interactive and project-oriented, never lecture-based)Conducting daily motivation sessions where you engage individual students, assess their progress through adaptive learning platforms (utilizing Coachbot analytics), and drive them toward achieving 100% of their weekly targetsCreating and delivering mastery-based assessments (Test2Pass) to verify students have genuinely mastered each skill rather than simply attended sessionsCultivating authentic connections with each student so they develop sufficient trust to receive coaching through resistance, distraction, and uncertaintyMonitoring student advancement relative to satisfaction metrics and goal achievement data, modifying your methods when outcomes don't meet expectationsWhat You Won’t Be DoingDelivering lectures to classrooms or providing conventional academic instruction (students master core subjects through self-directed adaptive applications, not through your teaching)Creating lesson plans independently (Alpha supplies a life skills curriculum and implementation guides; your role is to execute them with enthusiasm and narrative skill)Handling parent communication or school administrative duties (Campus Leads manage these areas; you remain concentrated on student development)Evaluating homework or coordinating standardized test preparation (neither exists in this environment)Operating independently (you function within a campus team alongside Lead Guides, Campus Leads, and colleagues who exchange feedback and maintain mutual accountability)Youth Mentor Key ResponsibilitiesDrive every student in your cohort to love attending school, develop critical life skills, and achieve 100% of their academic objectives through adaptive learning technology.Basic RequirementsBachelor's degree in any discipline3+ years of direct experience working with K-8 students (in teaching, coaching, counseling, or youth program management)Willingness to work on-site at an Alpha campus located in Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; Nashville, TN; or Park City, UT (relocation assistance provided)Ability to participate in a paid training program at Alpha's Austin, TX campusLegal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorshipNice-to-have RequirementsBackground in youth development: athletic coaching, camp leadership, or youth programming where you held direct accountability for motivating children to achieve defined objectivesHistory of significant personal achievement (academic distinctions, competitive athletics, or leadership positions requiring sustained excellence)Innate storytelling capability: you can maintain the attention of a room filled with 12-year-olds for an hour without elevating your voiceProven ability to motivate disengaged or resistant students and convert them into engaged participantsAbout AlphaWant to join a learning rebellion that’s transforming the traditional classroom?
