Custom Residential Architectural Designer (Fishers)
Responsibilities:Design custom residential homes from concept through construction drawingsModify and adapt existing home plans to meet client requirementsDevelop design solutions balancing aesthetics, functionality, and buildabilityCollaborate with clients to understand lifestyle needs, design preferences, and budget constraintsPresent architectural concepts and guide clients through design decisionsIncorporate client feedback while maintaining design and structural integrityWork closely with construction and project teams to ensure designs are practical and executableReview plans during pre-construction to identify and resolve potential issuesProvide architectural support throughout the construction phaseProduce complete architectural drawing sets, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawingsEnsure compliance with local building codes and regulationsCoordinate with engineers and external consultants as requiredContribute to architectural standards, design guidelines, and plan librariesSupport development of new model home designsStay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction techniquesQualifications:5+ years of experience in residential architectural designExperience working on custom or luxury residential projectsProficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and RevitStrong understanding of residential construction methodsExcellent communication and client interaction skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work full-time in an office environmentMust-Have Skills:Residential architectural design expertiseStrong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or RevitClient-facing communication and presentation skillsKnowledge of construction documentation and detailingUnderstanding of building codes and compliance requirementsProject coordination and multitasking abilityGood-to-Have Skills:Experience with luxury or high-end custom home designFamiliarity with design visualization tools (e.g., 3D modeling, rendering)Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (sales, construction, consultants)Knowledge of current residential design trends and materialsAbility to contribute to design standards and architectural direction
