Oil and Gas Manager, Methane Pollution Prevention The role of the Oil and Gas Manager is to lead and support engagements with government entities as part of the Fossil Fuel Regulatory Programme to develop and advocate for policies that promote methane reduction in the oil and gas sector in partnership with CATF's Methane Pollution Prevention (MPP) team and CATF other programs. The Oil and Gas Manager will support efforts to engage with regulators to develop and implement strong methane mitigation policies, including the development of technical analysis and reports to support such actions. Countries covered may include Iraq, Egypt, Indonesia, Angola, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and others.The Oil and Gas Manager will work closely with government stakeholders in the development of methane emission estimates and mitigation plans to support policy development and implementation efforts. In addition, they will collaborate with other NGOs, industry, academia, and government-based stakeholders to advance methane mitigation. The Oil and Gas Manager will cultivate opportunities through extensive networking with key stakeholders. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in their country of residence at the time of hire. CATF is not able to sponsor work authorization for this role. This is a grant-funded, time-bound position with funding currently confirmed through March 2028.
