Product Manager

Candidates MUST be local to the Atlanta, GA or Hartford, CT area. Candidates MUST have insurance industry experience. This is a contract to hire opportunity. The role is not open to C2C, OPT, or Visa consideration of any kind. No vendor support allowed/needed.We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Product Manager with Insurance industry experience to lead the development and delivery of innovative insurance products and digital solutions. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to define product vision, drive execution, and enhance customer experience across insurance platforms.The ideal candidate brings deep domain knowledge in insurance, a strong understanding of policy administration systems, and a proven ability to translate business needs into scalable product solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and own the product roadmap aligned with business objectives and customer needs Collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, claims, actuarial, and distribution to gather requirements and prioritize initiatives Lead end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation through launch and continuous improvement Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications Partner with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions Drive digital transformation initiatives, including customer portals, agent platforms, and policy management systems Analyze product performance using KPIs, customer feedback, and market trends to inform decisions Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards Coordinate with third-party vendors and system integrators when applicable Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for intuitive and seamless user experiences Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field 5+ years of Product Management experience, with 3+ years in the insurance industry Strong knowledge of insurance operations (e.g., underwriting, claims, policy administration, billing) Experience working with insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar systems Proven experience delivering digital products in Agile/Scrum environments Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Preferred QualificationsExperience with P&C, Life, or Health insurance products Familiarity with InsurTech solutions and digital transformation initiatives Experience with APIs, data integrations, and cloud-based platforms Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar MBA or advanced degree Key CompetenciesStrategic thinking and product vision Customer-centric mindset Cross-functional leadership and collaboration Data-driven decision-making Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
