Equipment Operator II - Parks Forestry Crew

Ready to Start Your Career with the City of Temple? Summary Performs general parks maintenance duties at local parks and parks facilities to include general repairs and mowing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs daily maintenance checks on all equipment and maintains equipment, records, and work orders Operates equipment such as brush trucks, bucket trucks, dump trucks, tractors, backhoes, and all types of mowers Provides backup to Crew Leader and Foreman as needed Performs duties to include but not limited to sanding, painting, welding, woodworking, seeding and sodding grass, playground construction and maintenance Serves as an essential worker as needed; responds during business closures to meet operational requirements Follows all city policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent One (1) year of experience in landscaping and park maintenance or related area Two (2) years of experience operating brush trucks and bucket trucks Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Valid Class B CDL Thank you for your interest in the position.
