Manager, Production Control & Supply Chain

The Production Control & Supply Chain Manager oversee the production planning and production schedule. This position responsibilities include: forecast the right volumes of materials, goods and product inbounds to the organization from suppliers, monitors project's budget, inventory, production schedule, strategizing to find cost-effective materials from specified suppliers and materials are delivered according to agreed upon terms and conditions; discover the best ways to reduce procurement expenses, and manages all production planning and management activities within the organization.Essential FunctionsTo accomplish this job, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and prioritize purchasing activities, ensuring clarity of specifications and expectations.Oversee and adjust production schedules based on customer demand, capacity constraints, inventory levels, and resource availability.Coordinate with operations, purchasing, engineering, and sales to maintain schedule alignment.Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and components.Track and report key metrics to improve operational efficiency and reduce expenses.Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.Manage all aspects of the supply chain and communicate potential risks or obstacles to leadership.Develop procedures for collecting and reporting key performance metrics.Conduct cost analyses, establish benchmarks, prepare budgets, and oversee departmental expenditures.Review planned orders, create purchase requisitions, and manage the approval process.Maintain purchase orders through completion and ensure adherence to supplier agreements.Report and address supplier non-conformances.Lead finance and logistics teams in resolving receiving and invoicing discrepancies.Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Support consolidation and optimization of the supplier base.Set project or production schedules and manage material flow.Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including logistical requirements.Ensure strategic material planning processes support operational continuity.Resolve material planning issues, including shortages or excess deliveries, and maintain accurate inventory of production materials.Develop and implement process improvements to drive operational efficiency.Oversee labeling accuracy to ensure correct parts and assemblies reach customers on time.Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy and ensure proper inventory control.Supervise direct reports, conduct performance evaluations, and support training and development.Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or other related field of study is advantageousMinimum of five (5) years experience in production control or other similar customer or manufacturing support is requiredMinimum of three (3) years experience in the supervision of personnel is requiredExperience in the manufacturing industry is required, experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry is preferred Other Required Skills & AbilitiesExperience utilizing a comprehensive ERP system is required; experience with multiple sites/organizational locations is preferredDemonstrated analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking abilities to appropriately handle unexpected challengesCommitment to maintaining confidentiality, securing employee and company records, and demonstrating integrity in communications and actionsSelf-management skills including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlinesLeadership skills evidenced by talent selection, retention, and personnel developmentExceptional professional verbal and written communication skills (English) are requiredComputer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office;
