Title: Lead Operations CoordinatorLocation: Hidalgo, TXJob Type: Contract (5 Months)Compensation: $28-30/hrIndustry: Transportation & LogisticsAbout The RoleOur client, a global leader in third-party logistics and supply chain solutions, is seeking a Lead Operations Coordinator to support high-level operational execution within a fast-paced transportation environment. This role is focused on ensuring efficiency, data integrity, and service quality across daily operations, while also providing leadership support to an operations team.This position plays a critical role in managing transportation workflows, supporting cross-border import programs between Mexico and the U.S., and ensuring compliance with customs, tax, and documentation requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a detail-oriented environment and brings strong logistics expertise, particularly in cross-border operations.Job DescriptionThe Lead Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily operational workflows, supporting team execution, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to customers and carriers. This includes board management, workload delegation, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations boards, monitor workloads, and delegate tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverablesServe as a first point of contact for operations team members, providing guidance, troubleshooting issues, and escalating concerns as neededCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including account teams, to deliver exceptional customer serviceBuild and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, customers, carriers, and external partnersEnsure accuracy and integrity of load data across systems in alignment with company, customer, and carrier standardsMonitor shipment activity and proactively resolve exceptions, delays, or service disruptionsUtilize reporting and data insights to improve service performance and operational efficiencyEnsure compliance with customer transportation management system (TMS) requirementsManage carrier communications, including internal offer management and follow-upsDocument operational activities and follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and escalation processesSupport end-to-end operational activities as needed to meet daily service expectationsCross-Border Program & Compliance Support:Review and validate packaging documentation, shipment records, and tax-related information (IVA/VAT) for cross-border shipmentsCoordinate with operations, finance, customs brokerage, and supply teams to resolve discrepancies related to documentation, packaging, or complianceSupport customs entry processes by ensuring documentation aligns with CBP and Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirementsMonitor import activity to prevent delays and mitigate financial or compliance riskMaintain knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications and customer-specific requirementsTrack recurring issues, document resolutions, and escalate trends impacting compliance or operational performanceContribute to process improvements across cross-border and packaging workflowsQualificationsRequired Qualifications:High School diploma or GEDMinimum 2 years of experience in operations, transportation, or logistics, including cross-border experienceSpanish language proficiency (spoken and written)Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends as neededStrong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and operational qualityAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityExperience in a customer service or call center environmentFamiliarity with transportation or logistics systems and workflowsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to delegate tasks and provide direction to team membersExperience providing feedback and coaching to othersSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyCommitment to delivering excellent customer service and working collaboratively in a team environmentBenefitsDahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family’s needs.
