We provide human services programs that are intended to promote the health, well-being, self-sufficiency and protection of families, children and adults within our community.Johnston County Department of Social Services has an immediate opening for an Income Maintenance Quality Assurance Supervisor.The Income Maintenance Supervisor provides supervision, training, support, and leadership to a Quality Assurance Unit and reports to the Economic Services Program Manager.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe primary purpose of the Income Maintenance Supervisor position is to guide and direct Income Maintenance Case worker III Quality Assurance staff in the Food and Nutrition Services, Family and Children’s Medicaid, and Adult Medicaid, programs.This position must have thorough knowledge of the NC FAST system, policy knowledge of either Family and Children’s Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, and the ability to learn Food and Nutrition Services and some knowledge of EIS.The position involves close collaboration with other departmental supervisors to ensure consistent policy compliance across all cases, promoting a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.This position must be able to read, understand and adhere to program policy and guidelines set by the state.This position must be able to communicate effectively with the Quality Assurance team, other agency personnel, and the general public in person and via phone.This position is also responsible for ensuring training needs are met for staff.Also, this position is required to evaluate the team’s work performance.Other duties may be assigned such as Shelter or Emergency Management duties during a disaster.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesKnowledge of manuals, rules, and procedures used in determining eligibility. Knowledge of investigative procedures and techniques.Knowledge of the agency's organizational rules, policies, and procedures.Knowledge of basic supervisory and management skills.Skills and general understanding of the budget and planning process skills.Skills in mathematical reasoning and computational skills. Ability to recognize, collect, and evaluate evidence to support actions.Ability to communicate effectively with co workers, community agencies, law enforcement agencies to obtain or present pertinent data. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees, and the general public. Ability to present information orally or in written form.Desired Education and ExperienceThree years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an income maintenance program, preferably with one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.Additional Information: Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
