Master Data Analyst

Master Data AnalystLocation: Massillon, OHWork Arrangement: HybridPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Master Data Analyst to maintain and improve the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of master data across the organization's ERP environment. This individual will manage critical data related to customers, suppliers, products, materials, and other business entities while partnering with IT, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain.The Master Data Analyst will play an important role in data quality, ERP data maintenance, data governance, compliance, and process improvement, ensuring business teams have reliable data to support operations, reporting, and decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update master data records for customers, suppliers, products, materials, and other critical business data within ERP systems.Ensure master data is complete, accurate, consistent, and compliant with internal policies and established standards.Conduct regular data audits to identify discrepancies, duplicates, missing information, and other data quality issues.Investigate data-related problems, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions.Manage the lifecycle of master data, including new record creation, updates, deactivations, and discontinuations.Establish and maintain appropriate data classifications, attributes, standards, and organizational guidelines.Partner with IT, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Analysts, and other business teams to understand data requirements and maintain alignment across systems.Obtain and validate documentation required for new or updated master data records.Support and enforce data governance, data security, privacy, regulatory, and corporate compliance standards.Assist cross-functional teams with the proper setup of new master data within ERP systems.Identify opportunities to streamline and automate master data processes.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to data management, business processes, and ERP operations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Data Management, or a related field.Professional experience in master data, data management, ERP data, data quality, or a related function.Strong hands-on experience working within an ERP environment such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), SAP, Oracle, or similar.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex data quality issues.Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy and consistency.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple business functions.Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Understanding of data privacy regulations, data security, and industry standards.Preferred QualificationsExperience with data governance frameworks and standards.Experience working within a large or complex enterprise environment.Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls.Knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM) and process automation.Experience supporting data within Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Manufacturing environments.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate combines strong ERP and master data experience with an understanding of how data impacts the broader business. This person should be comfortable working directly with multiple departments, identifying data issues, maintaining data standards, and improving the processes used to create and manage master data.Experience with D365, SAP, or Oracle, strong Excel skills, and exposure to data governance, SOX controls, and business process improvement will be particularly valuable.
