Job Description: Senior ServiceNow Developer (Migration Focus) – Secret Clearance RequiredJob Title: Senior ServiceNow Developer – MigrationsLocation: Fully Remote (United States)Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required (Must be current and transferable)Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer with extensive experience leading and executing ServiceNow platform migrations. This role requires a hands-on technical expert who has successfully delivered complex migration initiatives while developing and enhancing custom scoped applications within the ServiceNow platform.The ideal candidate will have deep platform development experience, a strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, and the ability to collaborate with technical and functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions. An active Secret Clearance is required for this position.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support end-to-end ServiceNow migration projects, including platform upgrades, instance consolidations, and environment migrations.Design, develop, and maintain custom scoped applications using ServiceNow best practices.Build and customize workflows, Flow Designer solutions, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, Script Includes, and integrations.Develop and maintain Service Catalog items, Record Producers, and automated workflows.Collaborate with architects, administrators, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement technical solutions.Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow development standards, security best practices, and governance.Troubleshoot complex platform issues and provide production support as needed.Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment planning, and release management activities.Create technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.Required QualificationsActive Secret Clearance (required).7+ years of ServiceNow development experience.Proven experience leading or supporting ServiceNow migration projects, including instance migrations, upgrades, or platform transformations.Strong experience developing custom scoped applications.Expertise in JavaScript and ServiceNow server-side/client-side scripting.Experience with:Flow DesignerIntegrationHubREST and SOAP APIsScript IncludesBusiness RulesClient ScriptsUI PoliciesACLsService CatalogExperience integrating ServiceNow with third-party systems.Strong understanding of ServiceNow data architecture, update sets, application repositories, and deployment best practices.Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)Additional ServiceNow certifications are highly preferred.Experience working in federal government or DoD environments.Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.Familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, CSM, or HRSD modules is a plus.Why Join?100% Remote within the United States12-month contract with strong extension potentialOpportunity to work on enterprise-scale ServiceNow migration initiativesHigh-impact role developing modern custom applications for mission-critical environmentsCollaborative, highly technical team focused on innovation and platform excellence
