Role Description This temporary role as a Culinary Instructor involves planning and delivering engaging culinary lessons to youth participants in an on-site setting in New York, NY. The instructor will design curriculum, teach basic to intermediate cooking techniques, promote healthy eating habits, and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized teaching space and evaluating student progress. Qualifications Proficiency in culinary arts, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safetyCurriculum development and lesson planning experience related to culinary educationStrong interpersonal and communication skills for effectively engaging and teaching studentsAbility to maintain safety standards in a kitchen environment and provide guidance on food hygienePrior experience teaching or mentoring youth is strongly preferredCulinary degree or relevant certifications are beneficial but not requiredCommitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning atmosphereUnderstanding of nutrition and healthy meal preparation is a plus
