Commerce Trust is a division of Commerce Bank.About This JobThe main purpose of this job is to develop, manage, retain and expand client relationships within the affluent market segment with responsibility for loan and deposit grown, revenue generation, and revenue growth.Essential FunctionsCreate and execute a written marketing plan with the aim of developing/expanding a portfolio of qualified client relationships through an active calling effort targeting individuals whose financial status falls within the parameters defined as the private banking target marketIdentify opportunities for the sale of investment management products and trust servicesPrepare and deliver client presentationsManage a portfolio of more than $10,000,000 and more than 100 relationshipsMake decisions within assigned lending authority or make and defend recommendations for the extension of credit that exceeds authorityManage banking component of client relationships in order to avoid principal lossPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredIntermediate knowledge of the banking industryAbility to meet specific sales and marketing goalsAbility to maintain a valid driver's license and meet Commerce Bank's driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirementsMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesInquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core ValuesBasic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and OutlookEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required5+ years financial services industry or commercial banking/retail personal banking experience requiredFor this position, Commerce Bank will review your motor vehicle driving record. This compensation range is for the Private Banking Relationship Manager I, II & III job and contemplates a wide range of factors that are considered in determining most appropriate job level and making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location, skill sets, education, relevant experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $72,500 to $123,500 annually.
