Production Assistant (Day Shift)

Production AssistantCardinal CG is currently seeking a Production Assistant (Glass Handler) at our Northfield MN Location. In this position, you will be responsible for reading production schedules, loading, cutting, seaming and unloading glass.Day Shift 6:50am 7:00pm (12 Hour Rotating Schedule)ResponsibilitiesRead and measure glass accurately with tape measure.Position lites of glass on washer conveyors in preparation for furnace tempering.Transfer lites of glass from cutting table to edge seaming conveyors.Properly place glass into laser logo, based on long or short base.Remove tempered lites of glass from offload conveyor.Sort glass according to the paperwork specifications.Check customer label and place lite on designated rack or A-frame.Ensure all required paperwork is attached to rack/A-frame prior to staging for shrink-wrapping and shipment.Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meet specifications.RequirementsAbility to work independently and prioritize workload.Effective problem solving and organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.Read, write and understand standard and metric measurement units.Ability to operate and use hand tools, power tool and measuring instruments.Basic knowledge of computer software, including Windows/Word/Excel.BenefitsMedical InsuranceHSAFSADental InsuranceVision InsuranceVoluntary Life Insurance401kProfit Sharing - MonthlyPTOPaid HolidaysClimate Controlled FacilityOpportunity to advanceAt this time, we are not considering candidates who require sponsorship
