The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and enjoys collaborating within a team environment that integrates multiple engineering disciplines (MEP).General ResponsibilitiesPrepare structural calculations, reports, and documentation under the supervision of a senior engineer.Design and analyze wood, steel, and concrete structural systems for residential projects.Prepare and review construction drawings using AutoCAD.Ensure compliance with the International Residential Code (IRC) and other applicable standards.Conduct site visits and provide construction-administration (CA) support as needed.Required SkillsThorough understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.Knowledge of concrete, steel, and masonry.Proficient in AutoCADAbility to identify and solve complex problems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to be both creative and analytical.Proficient in Revit (preferred)Must be able to occasionally travel to and navigate job sites and construction areas.Required Education/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).0-3 years of structural design experience, preferably in residential projects.Knowledge of IRC 2018 and newer and relevant structural codes.Benefits100% company paid medical, dental, life, and disability insurance for the employee401K, 401K Roth, with immediately vested company matchingTuition reimbursementConvenient metro-accessible locationTelework opportunities after training periodOpportunities for professional development and PE mentorshipCollaborative team culture within a growing firm
