Compressor/Generator Technician

Job Description New Tech Global is seeking Field Service Technicians for a client located in Muncy, PA. This is a direct hire role.Pay: $25-40/hour Duties and Responsibilities:Perform skilled tasks including all levels of maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a wide variety of natural gas engine and compressorsTroubleshoot and diagnose all levels of compressor system failures and optimize compression equipment performanceComply with all company and customer policies and proceduresComplete appropriate paperwork as directedContinually hone and develop skills in line with technological advances of the industryAble to work in a team environment as a contributing team member and capable of working alone when requiredPresent a professional imageQualifications:Proficient in compressor and engine maintenancePossess basic knowledge of surface production equipmentTroubleshooting skills to general electronic and mechanical control problemsBe able to operate all types of diagnostic tools and have a full set of hand tools as defined by company standardsWilling to travel for short and extended periods of timeWilling to work different shifts and take call outsGood customer-relation skillsAttend training classes and/or seminars as required.Should have general computer skills and be capable of utilizing the computer as an appropriate diagnostic toolEducation and/or Experience:High School Diploma or GEDFormal vocational training preferredThree to five years of engine and compressor maintenance experienceCaterpillar and Waukesha engine experienceAriel, GE and other gas compressor experienceLanguage SkillsAbility to read, write and speak fluently in EnglishCertificates and Licenses:Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as well as maintain an acceptable driving recordCAT Training preferredPhysical DemandsOften required to lift heavy objectsSpend long periods of time standingWork reasonable lengths of time in hot and cold environmentsMust frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
