Structured Cabling Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Project Manager to lead and deliver low-voltage infrastructure projects including structured cabling, fiber optics, pathways, and related systems. This role is responsible for managing of projects from kickoff through closeout while ensuring quality, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of project management methodologies.
Key Responsibilities Manage structured cabling and low-voltage projects throughout the phases of: Presales, Planning, Delivery, Closing, and Post-Installation.
Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans
Provide regular project updates to customers.
Coordinate with customers, general contractors, IT teams, and internal stakeholders
Review drawings, scopes of work, and specifications for accuracy and constructability
Coordinate equipment procurement, tracking, and delivery.
Conduct site walks, kickoff meetings, and progress meetings
Track project costs, change orders, and billing milestones
Identify and mitigate project risks and initiate necessary Proactive and Corrective Actions
Qualifications Preferred 3+ years of project management experience in structured cabling or low-voltage systems
Strong knowledge of copper and fiber cabling systems, pathways, and telecom spaces
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore, or similar)
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Preferred BICSI, RCDD, PMP, or equivalent certifications
Familiarity with AV, electronic security, or wireless systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
