This position serves as a role model on the production floor, balancing daily execution with coaching, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Team Leaders directly influence safety, quality, delivery, and team performance, acting as a key driver of operational excellence.As a 100% employee-owned organization, Mott values ownership, accountability, and a commitment to high standards. Team Leaders are expected to act with an ownership mindset while supporting business growth, employee development, and process improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze manufacturing and sales order data daily to identify issues, set priorities, and assign personnel across multiple manufacturing cellsSupport production needs by producing or inspecting parts to ensure schedules and quality requirements are metCollect and analyze manufacturing data to identify gaps and improvement opportunities; partner with Quality and Engineering on solutionsLead and complete continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by the Value Stream ManagerMonitor employee performance and address corrective actions up to documented records when necessaryDrive resolution of customer complaints in collaboration with the Quality teamFoster a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamworkMajor ChallengesMaintaining cross-training and competency across multiple job functionsManaging high-mix, high-volume production environmentsAddressing documentation gaps and coordinating updates with EngineeringResponding to demand fluctuations with limited forecast visibilitySuccess MetricsCompletion of 100% of assigned safety initiatives on time99% on-time completion of work orders to schedule100% team competency to current manufacturing standards50% reduction in manufacturing nonconformance over three yearsRequired ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of five years of manufacturing experience (or three years at Mott)Prior leadership experienceKnowledge of continuous improvement and Lean methodologiesFamiliarity with ERP systems and manufacturing documentationTechnical SkillsLean ManufacturingManufacturing processes and cross-functional collaborationStructured problem-solvingPersonal AttributesSelf-directed and results-orientedDetail-focused with strong analytical skillsAdaptable and able to manage shifting prioritiesHigh energy with the ability to motivate and lead othersAre you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world?Total RewardsThe compensation range for this position is $48,000.00 - $72,000.00, depending on experience.
