Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in designing and optimizing piping and mechanical systems for process-control environments involving liquids or gases.Lead the development, modeling, and analysis of piping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.Perform fluid dynamics, structural, and thermal analyses using CFD, FEA, and related tools.Develop and review mechanical and piping drawings, specifications, and procurement documentation.Coordinate project phases, prepare cost estimates, and support safety and quality assurance activities.Mentor junior engineers and support troubleshooting and equipment modifications.Communicate progress and technical findings to stakeholders and senior management. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, expertise in fluid systems, and familiarity with codes like ASME. A PE license and security clearance are advantageous.The role involves compliance with federal requirements, background checks, and drug testing, with opportunities for ongoing security clearance maintenance.
