Florida Associate Underwriter

A company is looking for an Associate Underwriter to support the acquisition and retention of profitable commercial lines customers. Key Responsibilities Assist with gathering underwriting information on renewal and new business accounts and work with agencies to obtain missing information Approve, modify, or decline transactions within assigned authority level and handle endorsement requests Manage the renewal underwriting of less complex accounts and prepare appropriate underwriting file documentation Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Two years of relevant commercial underwriting experience Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Knowledge of commercial property & casualty forms, rating rules, and underwriting principles Familiarity with the independent agency system is preferred
