Come work for North America Central where your skills are valued, and your contribution appreciated.Job Purpose Assist the driver in the safe operation of the route and manage students as defined/identified by the school.Major Responsibilities Ability to learn and follow a route sheet or electronic routing deviceIs responsible for student management and communicates behavior problems with the driverAssists in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including child checks, CSRS and wheelchair liftsAssists students in the loading and unloading process including wheelchair liftCooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and studentsAttend all safety and training meetingsConducts emergency evacuation from the bus, including exiting from the emergency doorCleans the insides of the bus including sweeping, dusting and cleaning windowsOther specialized functions as required by contractMinimum Education & Certifications Required High school diploma or equivalent preferredRequirements & Expectations Good verbal communication skillsThe ability to work early morning hoursMust maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward fellow employees and customersDress in a professional and appropriate manner for a business environmentPerform all job functions in the safest manner, adhering to OSHA guidelines & other applicable Federal & State lawsExecute all job duties while following company policy and procedureAbility to use or learn to use the internet, additional programs as required and office equipment, including fax and phones or other electronic devicesNorth America Central School Bus is an EEO/AA employer fully committed to achieving a diverse workforce.
