Baseball/Softball Scorekeepers & Umpires

Responsibilities Accurately record game scores, player statistics, and key plays during baseball and softball games. Communicate effectively with coaches, players, and officials to ensure smooth game operations. Manage conflict resolution on the field by applying strong conflict management skills and maintaining a positive attitude. Assist in setting up equipment, ensuring the field is ready for play, and maintaining a safe environment for all participants. Engage with children to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game. Monitor game timing, inning changes, and adhere to league rules consistently. Provide clear and timely updates on game progress to spectators and staff as needed. Experience Prior experience with baseball or softball scorekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with young athletes, coaches, parents, and officials. Experience in sports coaching or youth activities is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of sportsmanship and team dynamics. Ability to manage conflicts calmly and professionally in fast-paced environments. Experience working with children helps foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere on the field.
