Project Manager
WRNS Studio seeks a Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in institutional, commercial and interior projects, to work in our San Francisco studio. ResponsibilitiesManage and execute complex projects, from pre-design through construction administration, on schedule and within budgetEnsure efficient and cost-effective project executionDevelop, gain consensus, and deliver upon project work plans, schedules, and fee proposalsPrepares strategic plans with defined scope expectationsManage contracts, billings and add services with clients and consultantsProactively budget and forecast project costs, labor costs, and design scope increasesStaff and oversee project team assignments and schedulesMentor and oversee the work of future project managers and other staff membersLiaise with marketing, business development, and communications to pursue work and steward brandServe as primary client liaison, managing communications and documentationCollaborate with firm partners on strategic planning, positioning, and nurturing client relationshipsProactively research, identify and qualify new clients, markets and project opportunitiesContact potential clients to establish a relationship and introduce the appropriate creative/account leadersCollaborate with marketing team to develop winning collateral, proposals and presentationsOccasional travel to project sites or other WRNS offices RequirementsProfessional Degree in Architecture (BArch / MArch)Minimum 10 years of industry experience, with proven project management and leadership skillsCertification as a licensed professional in architecture, ideally in CaliforniaPreferred candidate will have some experience with interior architecture, including workplaceLEED and/or WELL accreditation preferredAbility to lead projects with team members located across different officesExperience managing mid- to large-scale projectsExcellent writing, editing, communication, and public speaking skillsStrategic thinking: ability to understand a prospective client’s needs, as well as identify competitive differentiators, and execute winning strategiesEntrepreneurial spirit: ability to work both independently and in collaboration with diverse stakeholdersEnergetic, competitive spirit: driven to win and able to lead with optimism and persistenceStrong track record of success managing key initiatives and meeting goalsExperience permitting projects through local Authorities-Having-JurisdictionStrong knowledge of local building codesExcellent Revit skills requiredProficiency in Rhino, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite – or a variety of conceptual design, rendering, and presentation graphics software platforms Work locationPlease note, this position is expected to work on-site.
