This role focuses on optimizing production performance, controlling labor costs, and minimizing downtime through effective troubleshooting and adherence to operational benchmarks. It plays a critical role in developing, coaching, and motivating employees while enforcing company policies, GMPs, and compliance standards. Success in this role is driven by strong communication, team leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset to deliver reliable and efficient production outcomes.Your Mission: Supervise daily operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are metDrive production efficiency while partnering with the Production Manager to control labor costsEnsure compliance with established run speeds and setup timesIdentify and resolve mechanical, operational, and technical downtime issuesSupport continuous improvement initiatives and on-the-job assignmentsCommunicate clear expectations and provide direction to employees on shiftMonitor quality by reviewing and initialing checklists during startup and production runsSupervise a team of approximately 25 employees across production, printing, maintenance, and shippingOversee and coordinate cross-functional operations to support overall plant performanceMaintain accurate logs, reports, and ensure adherence to safety policies and proceduresProvide shift production updates and escalate performance issues to leadershipTrain, coach, mentor, and develop employees to improve performance and engagementConduct performance evaluations and address employee performance concernsEnforce company policies, GMPs, and quality standards; document and address non-complianceFoster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environmentManage staffing needs, attendance, and approve daily timekeeping recordsParticipate in meetings and contribute to operational planning and continuous improvement effortsYour Profile:3 years supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent and applicable work-related experienceWork a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a rotating 3–2 schedulePrevious experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methods preferredIndustrial Safety and/or Technical Training preferredOur Offer:Comprehensive base salaryFull Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance401k Retirement Savings Plan, fully vested and company matchAn interesting job within the packaging & paper industryOpportunities for professional growthGet in touch:We strive to create a culture that inspires our people to reach their full potential.
