You will work on designing robust solutions that support different data consumption patterns, optimizing performance, reliability, and infrastructure costs.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and operate real-time streaming data pipelines with low latency into MPP databases such as StarRocks, Apache Pinot, and Apache Druid.Implement pipelines capable of handling data skew using techniques such as bucketing, salting, and adaptive partitioning.Work with Apache Iceberg tables for streaming workloads, managing partitioning, compaction, and snapshots.Collaborate with platform and analytics teams to model data for real-time dashboards and analytical queries.Optimize streaming jobs and storage layouts to improve performance and reduce costs.Diagnose and resolve bottlenecks related to ingestion, data skew, and distributed queries.Contribute code, documentation, and reviews to shared data platform components.Participate in architecture and data modeling decisions for streaming environments.Required Skills / Qualifications5+ years of experience in software engineering and/or data engineering.Advanced English level (B2+ or C1).Mandatory experience designing and operating streaming systems with Apache Kafka in production.Experience building low-latency streaming pipelines.Experience integrating streaming systems with MPP databases such as StarRocks, Apache Pinot, or Apache Druid.Experience in SnowflakeStrong knowledge of data skew mitigation techniques (bucketing, salting, repartitioning).Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg in streaming or near real-time environments.Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python.Strong SQL skills and experience optimizing distributed queries.Experience operating production pipelines (monitoring, alerting, incident response.What you'll get🌍 Remote Work FirstCoderland Homes in Panama, Málaga, and Canary Islands🏢 Coworking SpacesAccess to offices in Panama, Málaga, and Madrid💡 Learning & GrowthUdemy Business learning platformLanguage platform PreplyTraining & wellness platform Longevo🤝 Employee Referral Program💰 Payments in USD👨 👩 👧 Family Days🎉 Anniversary Bonus🩺 Remote Health Coverage – SafetyWing#Codelovers
