Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.PORTER - TEMPORARYAs a Porter at SpaceX, you will be interacting with our guests (employees), fellow staff members, and management staff in our private restaurant in a polite, courteous manner. You will also help with restocking supplies and other duties assigned by kitchen management.ResponsibilitiesSupport daily operational logistics including delivery receiving, restocking, and internal distribution of suppliesConduct daily checks of water jug stations, soda bibs, and CO₂ systems to maintain uptime and service reliabilityFulfill and deliver requisitions accurately, ensuring communication and documentation via internal systems and team channelsAssist with weekly inventory counts and ordering cycles to support production and service schedulesVerify product quality, expiration, and invoice accuracy during receiving; escalate discrepancies as neededOperate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and efficiently once trainedMaintain clean, organized, and compliant storage and staging areasCollaborate cross-functionally with culinary, café, and facilities teams to anticipate needs and prevent shortagesSupport special projects or operational setups as assigned by site leadershipPosition DetailsThis is a TEMPORARY position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.LENGTH OF POSITION: 3 months (permanent hire conversion based on performance and business need)LOCATION: Bastrop, TexasSHIFT: 2nd shift (start times may vary)Basic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate 1+ years of either restaurant experience, warehouse experience, and/or customer service experiencePreferred Skills And ExperienceRestaurant experiencePorter experienceInventory experienceSelf-motivated and work well with othersCurrent and valid food handler card or equivalentAdditional RequirementsAbility to carry large heavy items unassisted such as large packages, dishes in tubs, or trays (up to 45 lbs.)Ability to stand for long periods of time – up to 8-10 hours a dayWillingness to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as neededFrequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objectsItar RequirementsTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C.1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C.1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
