As part of our expanding impact, we proudly operate a Howdy Homemade Ice Cream franchise—a business built on inclusion, heart, and community.We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of the Howdy Homemade Ice Cream division. This is a unique opportunity to combine traditional accounting skills with purpose-driven work that makes a difference.Position SummaryThe Staff Accountant will be responsible for the accurate recording and reporting of financial activity related to Howdy Homemade Ice Cream. This position supports the day-to-day accounting functions and plays a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesRecord and manage daily sales activity for Howdy Homemade Ice Cream in the accounting systemReview and track sales and use tax data for quarterly filingsAssist with the preparation and processing of monthly invoicesPerform reconciliations of ledgers and external financial accountsSupport the month-end close process and assist with financial reportingMonitor and follow up on accounts receivable balancesCoordinate with the store manager on inventory tracking and store-related expensesMaintain and update lease records and lease-related accounting entriesProvide support on special projects and during audits or financial reviews as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or multi-entity environmentProficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly ExcelExperience using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitudeWhy Join Us?At TNC Community and Howdy Homemade Ice Cream, you’ll find more than just a job—you’ll be part of a team that's changing lives through inclusion and meaningful work.
