Position Summary
The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for assisting the Director of Agronomy in managing, directing, and leading the team in maintaining the Club’s golf course.
Responsibilities
Leadership skills fostering a culture of attention to detail, quality, and success
Staff supervision and delegation of maintenance tasks and responsibilities
Active in management of Pump Station and Toro Irrigation System
Assist in development of annual Agronomic Plan and crew training
Maintain proper safety compliance and recordkeeping
Provide insight into future long-term capital improvements
Effective communication skills with Director of Agronomy, General Manager, Director of Golf
Member Engagement
Collaborate with Director of Agronomy on IPM applications executing programs that promote exceptional play conditions

Professional Development
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Turf Management or related field
Minimum of 5 years with proven agronomic experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
Strong Leadership Skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
FL Pesticide Applicators License or ability to obtain within 120 days of employment
Valid FL Driver’s License
Knowledge of Tif Eagle & Celebration Bermudagrass
