A minimum of three years of experience in insurance underwriting, risk assessment, or related roles is required. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite are essential. Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and emerging market trends will be considered advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate insurance applications by reviewing applicant information, medical records, financial documents, and other relevant data to assess risk accurately. Develop and recommend appropriate policy terms, coverage limits, and premium rates based on thorough risk analysis. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to facilitate smooth communication and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, underwriting guidelines, and market trends to ensure compliance and competitiveness. Monitor existing policies for risk exposure and recommend adjustments or renewals as needed. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay aligned with company objectives and industry best practices. Document underwriting decisions clearly and accurately in the company’s systems, ensuring transparency and accountability.
