Sanmina Corporation has facilities strategically located in key regions throughout the world.Supplier Quality EngineerThe Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring externally provided products, processes and services conform to all applicable requirements and company standards. In this position you will manage supplier programs for manufacturing, packaging and other operational processes, as well as ensuring quality programs conform to all applicable requirements including regulatory requirements.Nature Of DutiesWork closely with sourcing team to evaluate supplier capabilities and capacity for supplier selection processQualifies new suppliers based on customer requirementsPeriodic reevaluation of suppliers based on delivery of quality products, materials, and servicesSupport operations in supplier related issues, communicates non-conformances identified during in-coming inspection, and manufacturing; and drive resolution in partnership with cross-functional teams and supplierLead investigations to identify root cause and Corrective and Preventive Action(CAPA) activities with suppliers using appropriate problem-solving methodsVisit supplier facilities to conduct audits, witness production and inspection processesReview and approve all First Article Inspection submissionsMonitor supplier performance and issue periodic reports; issue improvement actions to non-performing suppliersAct as a single point of contact for all supplier related quality mattersFacilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issuesParticipate and support internal and external management system auditsEducation And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering field or related technical fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality, or EngineeringAbility to participate in the resolution of technical issues with respect to product processes, systems and deliverables in engineering, supply chain and qualityKnowledge of Supplier Management practices and processesAbility to provide guidance to suppliers on all aspects of qualityExperience in implementing, maintaining, and auditing management systemsExperience in developing supplier relations and continuous improvement plansProficient in 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologiesSanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer
