Processor, Payables - Remote

1. About Our Client:This team operates within the financial services sector, focusing on managing accounts payable functions. It addresses the challenge of ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments while maintaining proper financial controls and maximizing cash flow opportunities.2. About the Opportunity:The Processor, Payables plays a critical role in supporting accounts payable activities by processing invoices and payments efficiently. This position ensures that disbursements comply with established financial policies, contributing to the organization’s financial accuracy and operational effectiveness.3. Responsibilities:• Generate timely release of payments through various payment and expense management systems.• Facilitate accurate processing of high-volume payables and ensure compliance with payables policies.• Process and validate vendor set-up, maintain the vendor database, and assist with 1099 distribution.• Research and reconcile payable reports, prepare files, and remit escheat payments to state authorities.• Independently resolve processing errors by collaborating with IT teams and health plans.4. Requirements:• Minimum of 1 year related payables experience or equivalent education and experience.• Experience processing and distributing payments promptly.• Ability to accurately handle invoices, check requests, and expense reports.• Knowledge of accounts payable processes such as 3-way match vouchering.• Strong organizational and time management skills.• Effective verbal and written communication skills.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel functions like VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, and applicable software.• Associate''s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.5.
