Senior Electrical EngineerGreenville, SC (Primary) | Nationwide Opportunities AvailableHargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support complex industrial EPC projects across the U.S. While this role is anchored in our Greenville, SC office, we are recruiting nationwide talent and will consider placement or long-term project support aligned with our additional office locations in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania, based on business and project needs.This position performs complete design and engineering of complex electrical systems and provides technical leadership within multidisciplinary project teams.What You’ll DoPerform complete electrical design for complex industrial engineering projectsApply advanced engineering techniques, analysis, and judgment under general supervisionServe as discipline lead on small to mid-sized projectsDevelop single-line diagrams, motor control center layouts, electrical room layouts, cable schedules, grounding, lighting, power, plansProduce design calculations, sketches, specifications, material take-offs, and cost estimatesDevelop electrical installation and construction specificationsReview and check calculations, drawings, and vendor documentation for accuracy and code complianceCoordinate with other engineering disciplines, designers, and project leadershipProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designersSupport procurement efforts through equipment specifications and bid packagesPerform fieldwork and construction support, including tie-ins, startup assistance, and commissioning activitiesEnsure designs meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and constructability requirementsSupport interoffice execution and virtual team collaboration across regionsWhat We’re Looking ForEducation & CredentialsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited universityProfessional Engineer (PE) license highly preferredExperience6+ years of progressive experience in industrial electrical engineeringPrior experience supporting EPC projects in chemical, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environmentsTechnical Knowledge & SkillsStrong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)Ability to perform:Load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, and overcurrent protection calculationsLighting level calculations and power distribution designExperience with:Low and medium voltage systems (including 15kV power systems)Cable tray and conduit routing, fill calculations, and construction materialsAbility to develop:Electrical installation specificationsControl narratives, P&IDs (measurement and control), and data sheetsEquipment specifications for MCCs, motors, transformers, analyzers, control systems, and valvesFamiliarity with ISA standardsKnowledge of PLC, HMI, and/or DCS systems preferredAbility to act as Engineer of Record where PE certification is requiredProficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStationStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsLocations & Work FlexibilityPrimary location: Greenville, SCAdditional office options: TX, LA, AL, GA, PAHybrid or interoffice execution support may be availableRelocation assistance may be offered based on role and locationWhy Hargrove30+ years as a trusted industrial EPC partnerLong-term career growth and technical leadership opportunitiesExposure to complex, high-impact industrial projectsCollaborative, employee-owned cultureCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits👉 If you’re an experienced E&I engineer looking to work on challenging industrial projects with geographic flexibility, we’d love to talk with you.Hargrove CultureWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
