We are looking for anEngineer to join our team!As Validation Engineer you'll be a part of our Managed Services department, working in an engaging, fast-paced environment with our client, a multinational enterprise company, to ensure that next-generation Non-Volatile Nand memory products meet the design requirements.This is a hybrid position; 3 days on-site, 2 days remote. The client is located in Rancho Cordova, California. Please only apply if you are located in California or if you are willing to relocate.Role Responsibilities:Contribute to the development, validation, and optimization of SSD product linesDetect test failures, perform triage, create defect reports and ensure timely and accurate resolution is providedParticipate in peer code reviews and defect managementContribute bug fixing and validation of SSD firmware and NVMe features on complex embedded multi-core architecturesCollaborate with Firmware Engineers to optimize NVMe features of high-performance firmware and software for next-generation SSD productsProvide clear status to domain leads on the development and test statusReport sightings and pre-sightings for any suspected FW issuesUse of diagnostics/debugging tools to analyze reported design bugsJoin monthly and quarterly meetings with client representatives as the technical representativeSkills & Qualifications:1-3 years of programming experience in C/C++, and Python (MUST BE PROFICIENT ON all 3 languages)Experience with git or similar source control repository systemsUnderstanding of ASIC architecture and code optimization is a plusStrong analytical problem-solving skills, innovative thinking, and a mindset of continuous improvementUnderstanding of Computer Science fundamentalsExperience with Atlassian Suite or similar management toolsBachelor's or Masters degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science Degree or related concentration, equivalent and/or combination of education and work experienceWho You Are:An excellent communicator in written and spoken English - you feel comfortable presenting your ideas to othersQuality-focused and detail-oriented - you pay attention to details and cant stand sloppy workYou believe that everything can be done, a can-do attitudeYou are a problem solverYoure driven and do not need to be micromanaged; you take initiative and dont wait around for problems or quality concerns to surface before brainstorming a fixYou like to learn.
