For over 60 years, GISW has been teaching children from preschool through twelfth grade. Aside from being the first MINTEC certified school in the USA, GISW offers a U.S. High School Diploma as well as a German International Abitur (DIA) to its students.The German International School Washington D.C. is seeking a full-time teacher for Spanish with any other subject at the Upper School for Grades 5-12.Opening2026/27 school yearGeneral InformationThis position consists of 23.5 instructional hours per week and includes associated duties outside of the classroom (preparation, grading, supervision, responding to parents, meetings, events)The teacher instructs students in Grades 5-12 in accordance with the following provisions:P-school curriculum-curricula according to provisions by the German International Abitur Exam (Deutschen Internationale Abiturprüfung)Pay Range: $65,108 - $96,613 per school yearDescriptionDuties include:Individual and small-group instruction, adapting the curriculum to the needs of students with varying abilities.Compliance with all guidelines and rules; working with other German Schools Abroad.Preparation, administration and grading of tests, exams, and assignments to evaluate students’ progress.
