TAT will soon be moving to a larger facility later this year and seeks to expand its team.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will support the company's quality assurance and quality control efforts by assisting with product inspections, documentation, and compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements. This role helps ensure that products meet established quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 quality management principles. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail and is committed to our high standards of quality. This is an ideal position for someone with little to no experience in quality!ResponsibilitiesPerform product inspections to verify parts meet drawings, specifications, and customer requirementsUse measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipmentDocument inspection results accurately and maintain quality recordsIdentify and report nonconforming materials or products according to company proceduresAssist with containment and segregation of nonconforming productsSupport root cause investigations and corrective action activities when quality issues ariseMaintain organized quality documentation within job folders and quality recordsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredBasic understanding of manufacturing processes preferredAbility to read and interpret basic drawings, specifications, and work instructionsStrong attention to detail and accuracyBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar programs)Ability to follow established procedures and instructionsGood communication and teamwork skillsPreferred QualificationsAssociate degree or coursework in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related fieldPrevious manufacturing, inspection, or production experienceFamiliarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management SystemsExperience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gaugesISO 9001–Aligned ResponsibilitiesFollow documented procedures and work instructions in accordance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS)Ensure inspection records and quality documentation are properly completed and retained in accordance with ISO 9001 record control requirementsAssist in the control and identification of nonconforming products per established proceduresSupport corrective and preventive action processes by providing inspection data and observationsParticipate in internal audits or provide documentation as requested by the Quality Manager or auditorsPromote risk-based thinking by identifying potential quality risks or process issuesSupport continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving product quality and process efficiencyHelp ensure customer requirements and applicable regulatory requirements are metMaintain traceability of materials and parts when required by company or customer specificationsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during inspectionsAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionallyGood visual acuity to inspect small components and detect defectsManual dexterity to operate measuring instrumentsWork EnvironmentThis position operates primarily in a manufacturing and shop environment where exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment may occur.
