The COO will be responsible for translating the organization's strategic priorities into operational plans and ensuring their effective execution across all departments and affiliated entities. This role requires a leader with a strong background in enterprise or multi-department operations, preferably within a complex, mission-driven organization such as an association, nonprofit, or healthcare setting. The successful candidate will provide executive-level oversight in areas including education and professional programs, meetings and events, marketing, communications, brand, membership and customer experience, digital, technology and systems, finance operations, human resources, and organizational development. The COO will also be expected to champion continuous improvement initiatives, oversee risk management, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree or CAE preferred) and at least 12 years' of progressive leadership experience, with a minimum of 7 years' in managing senior leaders or managers. The role demands a leader with strong financial acumen, operational judgment, and executive communication skills, who can work effectively with volunteer leaders, boards, and professional stakeholders. The COO will be measured on their ability to strengthen cross-functional alignment, enhance operational processes, and support leadership development within the organization.
