EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediate LOCATION: Mitchell County Department of Social Services, Bakersville SALARY RANGE: Social Worker III - Grade 69 / $47,223.60 - $70,834.87 Social Worker II - Grade 67 / $43,660.39 - $65,490.58 Social Worker I / Trainee - Grade 63/ $37,321.14 - $55,980.10 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This position performs social work functions in the Child Protective Services Unit. The person in this position will be responsible for Foster Care case management caseload. Duties may include, but are not limited to, developing a case plan, completing risk assessments, strengths and needs assessments and meeting mandated contract standards. Work is performed under the direction of the Supervisor, Program Manager, and Director in accordance with State and Federal regulations for the proper administration of the program. Work may include other related duties and activities as deemed appropriate and assigned by the Supervisor, Program Manager, and/or Director. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions. SOCIAL WORKER TRAINEE – GRADE 63 4-year college or university degree SOCIAL WORKER I – GRADE 63 4-year degree in a human services field 4-year college or university degree plus one year of directly related experience SOCIAL WORKER II – GRADE 67 BSW 4-year degree in human services field plus one year of directly related experience. 4-year college or university degree plus two years of directly related experience.
